5 Stars Happy birthday to me!
Yesterday was my birthday and I was really blue as I thought I would be all alone. My friends had a different plan and showed up at my door with this gift that really made my day special. It is as bright and cheerful as it is in the picture and comes with a very pretty bow made of different colored ribbons. I saved the ribbons for christmas wrapping as it would be a shame to waste them they are nice quality. We enjoyed all the candy and cake together which satisfied all of our sweet tooths, but I saved the cookies for me later to go with my tea. I highly recommend this gift and have already looked into ordering the over the hill one for my friend for her birthday next month. Great friends, great goodies, good times and good laughs. Happy birthday to me!

5 Stars Sooo… Much Fun!!
My Brother sent me a Happy Birthday gift Tote and it was sooo… much fun. The candy and cookies inside were tasty and delicious, and the tote was so cute. Of course now I’ll have to send my brother something… I wonder what else they have? This was such a yummy gift.

1 Star A Huge Disappointment
I received this gift basket as a birthday present and was excited upon initially opening the box. From there it went downhill. The actual bag is about 2/3 stuffing with only the very top being product, and you get very little product for the price. Notables in it were “truffle cookies” that tasted like a stale vanilla cracker cookie (I’m guessing this was a substitute for the listed Balloon sugar cookies), a chocolate chip “tea cake” mini loaf that’s hard to stomach more than a couple bites at a time (very bland and unappetizing), a small box of chocolate fudge that’s the worst I’ve ever had (you probably made better fudge in home ec), a box marked “Gourmet Caramel Nut Assortment” that’s actually just caramel pieces (equally disappointing).

The only safe things in the package were some small (emphasis: small) packages of Jelly Bellies, fruit slice candies, and some generic hard strawberry candies. The boxes the individual products come in are deceivingly big, but trust me there’s a lot of air in each of those boxes.

For something by a company named “The Art of Appreciation,” you can show your appreciation in much cheaper ways that doesn’t leave the party on the receiving end wondering if they knew what in the world you were thinking. I wouldn’t even pay $10 for this utter disappointment. Show someone you care by staying clear of this little number!

(Update: I find it very interesting that within 24 hours of my posting the first review for this since it was released in 2004, a beaming almost storybook 5-star review comes up out of nowhere (Also note that this was that reviewer’s first review ever–red flags galore). p.s. There was no “pretty bow” in this package, or if there was it was instantly forgetable. Obviously a lame attempt by the company to boost their rating. Stay away from this waste of money.)

1 Star Should Be Called Common OverPriced Tower
I recieved this from somebody as a gift, however what was included was not as listed. First the almond roca candy had so much of a coffee flavor it tasted like eating a can of coffee despite this not being mentioned, also I did not receive shortbread cookies but instead toffee which was way to sweet and not very good. I did not receive chocolate chip cookies but I instead got white chocloate macademia nut cookies which were mini size and only like 4 in the package. Better gifts baskets for this price are available at other companies, I usually use them, I could have got a main/name brand top notch choclate tower or similar from them for this price with quality items. In short, I was disappointed, the quanity was small and the products obviusouly very cheap, this basket should only be priced at $10 rather than $40, and anyone who buys this beware of the reaction you will get on the other end. The largest item only had about 3 mini size white choclate macademia nut cookies in it, everything else was so small it requires no mention to size or quality, although you would expect more quality and better quanity than this. As a quick note, the strawberry bonbon candy is the common .25 hard candy bought anywhere and not gourmet or anything of the such. The description makes it sound great, but you can buy all this at a drug store for under 20 easily. Plus this gift basket can be bought elsewhere for the same price as a brand name such as ghiraderi or a Starbucks gift basket, see how the value comparison does not add up at all? Enough said, avoid.

This product offers very little in the actual package. The picture makes it seem as though there is alot of food being offered here however the box was filled with not only candy but strips of paper to fill the areas where there is none. The price is good however you would be better off purchasing candy from walmart and geting a box there and placing a ribbon on it! It would be cheaper also!

Candy wasn’t very good either XP

Purchased for my elderly Mother who can be very particular about her gifts. She was very impressed with both the quality of the boxes with the velvet lids and the contents. She qas very partial to the the almond roca candy. A great value and well received.
