This Holiday gift basket was erroneously shipped to me in NY, on December 20th, instead of to my Aunt and Uncle in Florida. I called Wine Country Gift Baskets and, without any questions whatsoever, they apologized and shipped the same basket overnight to my relatives.They told me to keep the one they had sent to me in error. The most I had expected from them was a Fedex shipping number that would enable me to ship the item to Florida at their expense. What I got was real customer service.

I sent the basket to my son and daughter-in-law as a Congratulations gift – they had a fun time trying out all the gourmet food products. It was fun for all!

1 Star Wine Country Gift Basket – beware
We ordered a gift basket for the holiday for my sales team. Even though I paid for – and they guaranteed – delivery before Christmas, only 2 of the 8 I ordered have been received to date (12-29). Although Wine Country Basket credited back my shipping – what was most important was the timing of the delivery. Also, the majority of my sales team think that I did not include them.

We will not use this website again. Business gifts are too important to risk this extremely poor service.

1 Star Sent as a Gift, Poor feedback
This was sent to my parents who NEVER complain about a gift. I asked them how the basket was and got this reply:

“Hate to write this but must tell the truth; even if it is against my principles.

Presentation–superb

Appearance–terrific

Packaging–excellent and very deceptive

Most of the attractive packages were many multiples of the size of the contents. Very deceptive. Some of the contents looked more like mini samples; miniscule. Some were excellent flavor and quality. Too many though seemed to be inexpensive fillers; imitation/artificial flavors; etc., for instance, the camembert was a processed cheese–rubber, tasteless variety; the smoked salmon was poor quality, inedible. I don’t think that their buyer is paying enough attention to the quality of the ingredients and origin sources. Size doesn’t really mean anything if the quality is there.

It had interesting items, but too many were like poor imitations of the real ’stuff’.

Sorry, but don’t order from them again.”

2 Stars Somewhat disappointing
The basket was probably the best thing about this gift. Most of the product boxes were only about half full. Several boxes only had two or three candies in them. (There was only one chocolate covered pretzel in its box.) Many items were made in Indonesia and were not very fresh. I wouldn’t order anything else from this company after getting this. Not even the Godiva chocolate-covered almonds were the quality I expected. Perhaps they were very old because they tasted strange. I only ate two or three. There were probably eight in the box.

5 Stars Excellent product. Very tasty and well put together.
I ordered 2 of these for family for Christmas. Because I waited so late, they got there the day after Christmas, but I had ordered them just days before.

I got to share them with my family and they had some very nice treats. Highly recommended!

2 Stars No salami!
I ordered this basket for my Mom and found it was missing both the salami and mustard when she received it.

I called Wine Country and talked to Customer Service and, while they weren’t real “warm” they did sent out a replacement basket at no charge. It was also missing the salami and mustard!!! I hesitate to order from them again.

And yes, the portions are very small. The “towers” are 14″ tall…… (I’ve sent those too)!

5 Stars Mother in Law loved it!
We bought this for my mother in law for her birthday(who lives in the US – so I did not see it myself) and she raved about it. She said the basket was stuffed full! It arrived within four days of ordering it. She was happy, so we are happy.

She did say that the candy dish was rather small and more like a cheese plate, but that didn’t bother us too much.
